I wanted to post this special picture I took to help out my wife (www.eberleinvitations.com) and a great neighbor and friend Cindy Simmons. My wife and Cindy had asked me to help create a vintage picture for Cindy’s wedding save the date. Admittedly, I was a little nervous as I have never taken this type of shot before. I did my research and found a historic home and, with permission of the owner, started to create the shot. Lily, Cindy’s daughter, was so cute and easy to work with that it really did not take long to get this shot as I had a lot of help from my two assistants, Christine and Cindy. LOL. I think the picture turned out so great after a little post processing work. I hope you enjoy it too!!
New article in Occasions Magazine’s blog of this save the date that my wife designed. Check out www.eberleinvitations.com
Please don’t forget to read the whole story on Cindy’s blog:
| Save The Date’s. I wasn’t really familiar with doing this because I had never done this before but it was suggested to me by my awesome wedding planner (aka Heather Branch’s wonderful Mommy) that because we are getting married close to the Holidays, I would be best served sending out save the dates. So she came up with a cute idea with of taking a picture of Lily wearing a grown up wedding dress and use it for our Save The Date. The idea took off from there! My neighbors Christine and Larry, AWESOMELY enough, happen to not only be our neighbors and friends but they have a beautiful invitation company.www.eberleinvitations.com So of course, I called Christine immediately and told her my thoughts and the vintage picture idea was born. We decided that since we were doing the vintage theme to do the picture in black and white but the main focus had to be the pink shoes. I have dreamed of wearing a pair of bright pink high heels with my wedding dress and this is where my dream made it to paper!!! We found the shoes to use, Christine let me borrow her wedding dress and we grabbed my Mom’s veil. Christine’s hubby Larry happens to have recently taken up photography on the side and is actually pretty darn good at it! So we grabbed everything, all piled in the car one Saturday afternoon and set out to find the perfect location to take “the picture”.Larry knew exactly what he was doing and he made it happen. It was pretty hot outside too so thankfully it only took about an hour and we had out shot. When I saw the finished product I think I actually had tears in my eyes. It was perfect! It was exactly what I had in my head and Christine and Larry made it a reality! Thank you Christine and Larry! You guys ROCK!! I wanted to share it with you because I am pretty happy with how it turned out. |
